Son of a Bitch ur a freekin genius.I too have completely been through the frt end of my car(no strut brace though).The only thing not new are springs and strut housings yet i still have a subtle clunk in the right hand side of car but like u said its only in certain situations that i hear it.I describe the sound as almost the same as a pos strut would clunk.I have looked and looked and yet cant find any obvious cause.Ive tightened and retorqued everything and it still does it every so often.Maybe i should check my hinges and latches on hood although ive always thought that my hood sits a little higher on the right hand side and that is side of noise.It drives me nuts not to mention it makes the car sound like a piece of shit to the trained ear which most of my friends are decorated shade tree hacks so its quite embarrassing.
